180 degrees in one triangle, the third unmarked angle of that top triangle can be found with 180 deg - 125 deg = 65 deg since a straight line has 180 degrees total in it. so the top triangle should be 180 - 65 - 65 = x, x = 50 degrees

when you have 2 parallel lines and a line intersecting them, certain angles in the system have the same values, in this case, the marked 125 deg angle and the one right underneath it that's obtuse. if you turn your head 90 degrees, there's another straight line (180 degrees total) which a line intersects, making two angles, y and a 125 degree angle (using the above property). so 180 - 125 = y, y = 65 degrees
