Write the equation of the line parallel to the line, passing through the point

y=-2x-1(4,3)

Answer: y = -2x + 11

the line passed the point at (4,3)

so x = 4 and y =3

substitute:

3 = -2(4) + c

3 = -8 + c

c = 11

since it is parallel, the gradient must be the same
