The slope intercept form is y = m x + b

We need to put the equation -x + 4y = -8 in this form

At first, add both sides by x

\begin{gathered} -x+x+4y=-8+x \\ 4y=-8+x \end{gathered}

Then divide both sides by 4 to make the coefficient of y = 1

(4y)/(4)=(-8)/(4)+(x)/(4)

-8/4 = -2

x/4 = 1/4 x

y=-2+(1)/(4)x

Now switch -2 and 1/4 x

y=(1)/(4)x-2

Let us find which choice is?

It is the first one for the equation

Let us choose the graph

For the graph, the line intersects the y-axis at (0, -2)

The slope is positive, then its direction to the right

The x-intercept is (8, 0)

Then it is the last graph you post with equation y = 1/4 x - 2

Do you see it
