The center of a circle is at (8,-8). One point on the circle is at (8, -3). Then the radius of the circle is -3 - (-8) = -3 + 8 = 5 units.

The area of a circle is computed as follows:

A = πr²

Replacing with π = 3.14 and r = 5:

A = 3.14(5)²

A = 3.14(25)

A = 78.5 units²
