2. Given that the indicated lines in figure 10.30(a) are parallel, determine the unknown angles without actually measuring them. Explain your reasoning briefly.

The opposie angles are equal

c is opposite to a, so

`c=a=34^o`

The angle p is opposite to that of n, so

`p=118^o`

The total angle of rotation in a line is 180°. so,

`o=180-118=62`

This o is the oppsite to m, and hence m=o.

similarly,

`d=180-34=146`

And hence, b=d=146
