Hi Jaydyn,
Your x-intercept will have a coordinate of (4.333,0). The key here is to rearrange your equation to slop-intercept form: y = mx + b.
So, y + 1 = 3(x-4) -> y = 3(x-4)-1 and with expanding you’ll get y= 3x-13.
To find your x-intercept, simply set y = 0 and factor: 0 = 3(x-13/3). The value that sets your equation to zero is your x-intercept, therefore the answer is 13/3. The coordinate for that would be (4.333,0).
Your y-intercept is the b value in your y = mx + b, therefore the answer is -13. The coordinate for that would be (0,-13).
Hope this helps xx
