If the probability of a boy’s being born is 1/2 and a family plan to have four children, what are the odds against having all boys?

Explanation:

the probability of having boy is 1/2

the probability of having two boys in two children is 1/2*//2=1/4

Hence the probability of having 4 boys of 4 children is 1/16, hence the probability against those odds will be 1-1/16= 15/16
