slope is caluclated by the change in y and change in x. so basiclly you would take one y value and subtract it from the other y value. -2-2=4.

then you would do the same with your x values. use the same coordinate that you got your y value from (i hope that made sense). -4-(-2)=-2.

after you find the change in y and change in x, you divide both those values. so we would do change in y divided by change in x. 4/2=2
