X=30°. since you know 4x-15+2x+16=180° your going to combine like terms and get 6x=180° and then solve which gets you to x=30

Answer:

\huge\boxed{\sf x = 30}

Explanation:

Statement:

Angles on a straight line add up to 180 degrees.

Solution:

According to the statement,

4x - 16 + 2x + 16 = 180

  • Combine like terms

4x + 2x - 16 + 16 = 180

6x = 180

  • Divide both sides by 6

x = 180/6

x = 30

\rule[225]{225}{2}
