You live away from home. You have a younger brother at home who studies in grade 8 but takes no interest in classroom activities. Write a letter to him explaining why active participation in classroom activities is important for him.

Dear brother,

I hope you are doing well. I know that school can sometimes seem hard and that it can be difficult to stay focused in class. But I want to try to encourage you to take an active role in your studies.

Active participation will help you understand the material better. When you're actively participating, you're engaged in what the teacher is saying and you'll be more likely to understand and remember the lesson.

Furthermore, participating in class can give you a chance to interact with your classmates and teachers, making you more comfortable in class. This can make it easier to ask questions and get help, which can also help you understand the material better.

I hope you take this advice to heart and start participating more in your classroom activities. I know it can be hard to stay motivated, but I believe in you and I know you can do it!

With lots of love,
