x = horizontal distance of the ramp shown

19² = 3² + x²

x² = 361 - 9 = 352

x = √352 = 18.76

18.76/3 = 6.25/1 ≠ 7/1

So, NO, the ramp shown does not meet the 7:1 recommendation.

To meet the specifications, the horizontal distance has to be:

7/1 = x/3

x = 21 ft

21/3 = 7/1
