Explanation:

the area of a circle is

pi × r²

r = radius is always half of the diameter

r = 10/2 = 5 in.

the whole area of the pi is

pi×5² = 25pi = 78.53981634... in²

the price for the whole pie is $12.85.

so, the price for one in² is

12.85 / 78.53981634... = $0.163611281... ≈ $0.16
