So I’m working on missing assignments and my math teacher gives us review sheets.

Well it’s old material I cannot remember and I have an answer key for the answer but I don’t know how to do the work!

I have to find the height of a cylinder only being given the volume and the radius. How would I go about finding the height?

Answer: Formula for calculating the height of a cylinder:

V=πr^2h

Explanation:

If you were given the volume and the radius then the formula you would use is V=πr^2h.

For example lets say your volume was 602.88 and your radius was 4.

To solve you would simply plug in your values.

602.88=π(4)^2h

since π is the equivalent to 3.14 your equation will now look like:

602.88=(3.14)(4)^2h

Then you begin solving!

602.88=(3.14)(16)h

602.88=50.24h

h=12
