B; Creon
Uncle to Antigone and a frequent figure in Sophocles' plays, Creon. An illustration of a stereotypical bad guy is Creon. While not being genuinely "evil," Creon is forced to engage in behaviour he would ordinarily abhor because of how much he loves the kingdom and his obligations to the people and the law. Unlike other villains in literature, he is forced to be the bad guy by events rather than by having a heart of evil.
