Answer:

John sat on the couch staring blankly at the TV, but he wasn't really watching it. His mind was completely empty. No thoughts, no worries, no ambitions, nothing. It was as if he had shut down completely. He couldn't remember the last time he felt this peaceful. Suddenly, the phone rang, shattering his tranquil state. He hesitated for a moment before reluctantly picking it up. It was his friend, asking if he wanted to hang out. John paused, unsure if he was ready to leave his current state of nothingness. But then he realized he couldn't sit around doing nothing forever, and agreed to meet up. As he got up from the couch, he felt a faint sense of disappointment that his moment of emptiness had come to an end.
