A car rental agency advertised renting a car for $23.95 per day and $0.29 per mile. If Shawn rents this car for 4 days, how many whole miles can he drive on a $200 budget?

Let m = number of miles driven

First, determine the cost of the car for 4 days

23.95 * 4 =95.80

The cost of renting the car is

95.80 + .29m

This must be less than or equal to 200 dollars

95.80 + .29m ≤ 200

Subtract 95.80 from each side

.29m ≤ 200-95.80

.29m ≤ 104.20

Divide each side by .29

m ≤ 104.20/.29

m ≤ 359.310

Round down to the nearest whole mil

m must be less than or equal to 359 miles

Answer: 359 miles
