Two forces act on an object. The force has a magnitude of 90N directed left. The other force has

a magnitude of 10N directed right. What is the net force on this object?

If a force has a magnitude of 90 N directed to the left, then it would be a negative number so -90N. If a force has a magnitude of 10 N directed to the right, then it would be a positive.

F = -90 +20 = -70 N
