Line AB

\begin{gathered} \text{slope}=m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1) \\ m=(4-2)/(5-0)=(2)/(5) \end{gathered}

Line CD

m=(3-8)/(3-1)=(-5)/(2)

For lines to be perpendicular the product of their slope is equals to negative 1.

\begin{gathered} m_1m_2=-1 \\ (2)/(5)*-(5)/(2)=-(10)/(10)=-1 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the lines are perpendicular.
