Mario was attempting to develop a cure for the flu. Mario gave three test subjects, all sick with the flu, massive doses of vitamin C. All three subjects recovered within a week. Mario concluded that massive doses of vitamin C will cure the flu.

Why did the scientific community deem Mario's research to be invalid?

Choice B is correct here. Especially when experimenting with illnesses like the flu, three test subjects is not sufficient enough. Cures can change based on age, size, gender, etc. In addition, everyone's body reacts different to illness cures, meaning he needs to test more subjects before fully concluding that Vitamin C is a cure.
