y = -2/3

Explanation:

3x + y = 1/3 => y = 1/3 - 3x

2x - 3y = 8/3

2x - 3 * (1/3 - 3x) = 8/3

2x - 3 * 1/3 + 3 * 3x = 8/3

2x - 1 + 9x = 8/3

11x + 1 = 8/3

11x = 3/3 + 8/3

11x = 11/3

x = 11/3 / 11

x = 1/3

y = 1/3 - 3x

y = 1/3 - 3 * 1/3

y = 1/3 - 1

y = -2/3
