Young knows that in order to fit in she or he must “act” or “look” different in order to be accepted by her peers. This is more of a personal question you must answer yourself, either yes or no and why.

Personally, I remember when I was in 4th grade I wanted to be around a group of girls. I wanted to be their friend. However, to be in the group you needed to listen to the “top notch”, “the chief”. This was a bit unusual for me. But, I paid attention and did everything the “top notch” told me to do, even if this meant embarrassment. I started acting like the other girls; blabbering, putting my hair like them, etc. Until, one day I rebeld against the “top notch”. I couldn’t take her anymore, the senseless rules and the making up of them. It was just too much. As well as making me do stuff I didn’t want.
