Explanation:

If the length is 1/5 and the width is 1/2, we can substitute those numbers into the perimeter expression provided. Or, we can double each of them and then add them together, as I did to solve this.

Since 1/2 + 1/2 = 1 , we can quickly add the doubled length value of 1/5 , ( doubled is 2/5 ) to get our sum of 1 2/5
