given the following:

total number of students = 223

numbers of students taking algebra = 113

number of students taking biology = 87

number of students taking neither of the two subjects = 23

we were ask to explain if its true.

to know if its true, the total number of students taking algebra, biology and the ones taking neither of the two subjects mst be equal to the to the ttotal number of students

so,

let total number of students taking algebra be x

let total number of student taking biology be y

let the total number of students taking neither of the two subjects be z

so,

x + y + z = 223

recall, that x = 113

y = 87

z = 23

113 + 87 + 23 = 223

223 = 223

Therefore, the following is TrueT students =
