There were 50 guests in a marriage ceremony. 30 were from the groom's family and 20 were from the brides's family. There's a tradition of giving hugs among the groom's family although there's no such traditions in the bride's family. They only shake hands. what's the number of total handshakes?

Note that the members from the bride's family will shake hands with the groom's family too.
