First u have to get one that is x= or y=
-2y-x= -1
-x=-1+2y
X=1-2y
Then you substitute that equation in for x

20(1-2y)-30=-50
20-40y=-20
-40y=-40
Y=0
Then you substitute that to find the x
20x-30(0)=-50
20x=-50
X=-5/2
