The sketch of Alyssa's rectangular garden is shown above, from which we see that the location of the fourth vertex is (12,4).

The perimeter of the garden is the length around it and it is:


perimeter=\lbrack(12-4)*2\rbrack+\lbrack(18-12)*2\rbrack
\therefore perimeter=28\text{.}

(B). As we can see from the coordinates of the fourth vertex, its x-coordinate is 12.
