Answer:

The Declaration of Independence is a very important document because it was the first time that the American Colonies had decided to break away from Great Britain and form their own country. The Declaration of Independence was written by Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman and Robert Livingston. This tries to persuade people that America should be independent from Great Britain by using emotion appeal.

The author uses many examples in his essay to show how the British government has mistreated the Americans and how they have no reason to be loyal towards Great Britain anymore. Thomas Jefferson uses an example when he talks.
