Leo has two cylindrical tanks that he uses on his farm to store gasoline. One tank holds regular gas, and the other holds diesel fuel.

(A) What is the price per cubic foot given the gasoline tank cost $12,250.71 to fill up? Use 3.14 for pi. Show your work.

(B) What is the price per cubic foot given the diesel tank cost $19,075.50 to fill up? Use 3.14 for pi. Show your work.

(C) Which tank has the lowest cost per cubic unit?

Pls explain how you found the answer. TYYY

Answer:

I think Tank A has the lowest cost per cubic unit.

Explanation:

To find the lowest cost per cubit unit for each tank you first need to find the volume of each cylinder. V=πr2h

Tank A

V=(3.14) 17^2 x 3

V= 2722.38

Now to find the cost per cubit unit put the price for how much the gasoline tank cost over the volume.

12,250.71/2722.38 This equals 4.5

Tank B

V= (3.14) 15^2 x 5

V=3532.5

Now to find the cost per cubit unit put the price for how much the diesel tank cost over the volume.

19,075.50/3532.5 This now equals 5.4
