Since the base numbers are the same you can set the exponents equal to each other
X-4=10
Add 4 to both sides
X=14
You can plug in to check if it’s correct

Answer:

x = 14

Explanation:

8^(x-4) = 8^10

8^(14 - 4) = 8^10

8^10 = 8^10
