Building houses near rivers has been a common practice for centuries, as people are drawn to the natural beauty and access to water. However, as urban development continues to increase, the proximity of houses to rivers poses a significant threat to the safety of residents and their property. Rivers are dynamic systems that can change rapidly, and they can become dangerous when they overflow their banks during heavy rains or when there is a sudden release of water from upstream dams. In this context, it is important to consider the risks associated with building houses near rivers, and the need to establish regulations and guidelines to minimize the potential harm to both people and property
