Max is wrong.

3/2 x 3/8

Multiply the numerators and denominators.

9/16

The other fraction is 3/8. This is equal to because 6/16 I multiplied the numerator and denominator with 2.

9/16 is greater than 6/16 because 9 is greater than 6.

Max is incorrect

(3)/(2) *(3)/(8) < (3)/(8)

We must simplify the left side in order to determine if this inequality is balanced

To multiply fractions, multiply across, top and bottom.

Don't get common denominators, that is for adding and subtracting

(9)/(16 ) < (3)/(8) \\\\

Get common denominators to determine. Multiply the second one by 2/2

(9)/(16) < (6)/(16)

The numerator on the second one is smaller, and they have the same same denominators, therefore, this is false.

9/16 > 6/16

False, max is not correct.

Hope this helps,

Jeron :)
