Given the problem:
Find the slope of the line between (19,-27) and (34,15)

Whenever you’re given two points and asked to find a slope, simply remember this formula:
y2-y1/x2-x1
You basically take the y value of the second point and subtract that by the y value of the first point. Then divide that by the x value of the second point subtracted by the x value of the first point.
So let’s put in the numbers:
15- -27/34-19
Now solve! (Subtracting a negative makes it addition):
15+27/34-19
42/15
Simplify:
14/5
That’s your slope!
And remember the slope intercept form is y=mx+b
I see a lot of questions about slope intercept. And it looks like you’re somewhere around that unit. m is the slope, and b is the y intercept.
