Imagine that your town's school board wants to implement a strict dress code at your high school. For all students, jeans, sweatpants, shorts, ripped clothing, sneakers, shirts with logos, and gang-related colors would be restricted. Men would be expected to wear slacks with a button-down shirt, and women to wear skirts no shorter than the knee or slacks, with no tank tops or "revealing" blouses. The Student Government has decided to write a letter to the school board trying to persuade them to turn down the dress code initiative. They ask you to draft that letter.

Write a letter to the school board to convince them to reject the initiative. Before you write, consider the best way to persuade your audience. Use the persuasive such as: ethos, logos, and/or pathos. The letter should be coherent, appeal to the specific audience, and be well written.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello, this is ____________ attempting to reach whomever this may concern possibly the school board. My peers and I think the school dress code is outrageous, the way we dress is what makes us who we are and how we would like to present ourselves as individuals. No specific colors should be avoided because of what they represent. With uniforms, everyone will look the same day after day unable to express who they are. Coming to school and seeing all of the different people and how they dress inspires most to find who they are within.

Thats all i got off the top of my head, make a formal ending with a name at the end and "ways to contact you".
