since its a bisector, we know that az = yz therefore 2x + 3 = 3x - 5

2x + 3 = 3x - 5

2x + 8 = 3x

8 = x

now we know the value of x, we can plug it into the equation for yz

3(8) - 5

24 - 5

therefore, x = 8 and yz = 19
