How do you graph a line with a y-intercept of 7 and a slope of -8/5?

Answer is in the graph attached

Step by step

y intercept = 7
slope = -8/5

y = -8/5 + 7

So first we graph y intercept, which is where the graph will cross the y axis, at 7

Then we use slope to make our next graph point. Since we know slope is y/x, or rise over run, we will count FROM Y INTERCEPT down - 8 and over or right 5 and mark your point.

Draw your line from point to point.
