0.8 = 0.5x

Solve for x

If I’m not mistaken, to solve for x you have to get it by itself so you need to divide 0.5 from both sides:

0.8/ 0.5 = 0.5x/ 0.5

Cross out the 0.5’s on the right because they cancel out and you will end up with:

0.8/ 0.5 = x

All you have to do then is divide 0.8 by 0.5 and you get:

1.6 = x
