I don’t completely understand the question but I’ll answer it as best as I can.
Reading can give you knowledge and well as improve your vocabulary. Depends on what books you read, the what you get is different besides getting better at reading and understanding character developments, plots, rising action, etc. you keep that knowledge in your head and it does help throughout life. With your job or even with family and friends. Discussing what you learned from a book is always fun. Or just discussing what the book was about and how the author wrote it in such a way. That’s in my opinion at least. I hope that answers your question!
