During a sale, a store offered a 10% discount on a tablet computer that originally sold for $400. After the sale, the discounted price of the tablet computer was marked up by 10%. What was the price of the tablet computer after the markup? Round to the nearest cent.

The answer is 396 all we have to do is add the 36 to 360 to get our final answer of $396.

First we need to find the price after the 10 percent discount. In order to do that we have to multiply 400 by 0.10 which is the same as 10 percent. When we put that in a calculator we get 40, now we have to subtract the original price of $400 by $40 which gives us $360. To find the price after the markup we multiply 360 by 0.10 which gives us 36, all we have to do is add the 36 to 360 to get our final answer of $396.
