Let the two numbers be x and y

Given ,


x + y = 95 \: \: ...(1)

Also ,


y = x + 15 \: \: ...(2)

Substiting equation 2 in equation 1 ,


x + x + 15 = 95 \\ \dashrightarrow \: 2x + 15 = 95 \\ \dashrightarrow \: 2x = 95 - 15 \\ \dashrightarrow \: 2x = 80 \\ \: \: \: \: dividing \: both \: sides \: by \: 2 \: \\ \dashrightarrow \: \cancel(2x)/(2) = \cancel(80)/(2) \\ \\ \dashrightarrow \: \: \boxed{ x = 40}

Now , y = x + 15

therefore ,


y = 40 + 15 \\ \dashrightarrow \boxed{ y = 55 }

Hence ,

the two numbers are 40 and 55 .
