X=12
Times everything outside to bracket with everything inside the bracket giving you 2x-12=12
This means that 2x is 12+12 which is 24
To get just x divide it by 2 giving you 12 therefore x=12

Answer:

x=6

Explanation:

Expand brackets:

2x-12=12

This is because 2 times x=2x and 2 times -6= -12

Add 12 to the right side to cancel out the -12 on the left.

2x-12+12=12

Simplify to get 2x=12

Divide by 2 to get x=6
