larger national debt

when reagan cut our taxes and higher encouragement to spend, our national debt of 738 billion dollars increased to 2.1 trillion. when you want people to spend but decrease the amount they have to spend on more stuff, the cost to make or ship in that stuff becomes more costly than what they have. we were in an employment decrease thing, more and more people were getting unemployed and he must’ve wanted to encourage them to work again. by decreasing the prices of things and making it easier to access, like let’s say a 5 dollar huge candy bar to 1 dollar, people will want to work to get the giant candy bar at that new price
