The graph shows a sample of gas when it is hot, cold, and at room temperature.Three graphs are plotted with Number of Particles on the y axis and Energy on the x axis. All three graphs are smooth curves which rise up and then come down. The leftmost curve is the highest and is labeled A. The rightmost curve is labeled C and is the lowest. The curve in the middle is labeled B and has a height less than A and greater than C.Which statement is correct about curves A and C? (5 points)Select one:a.A represents hot gas and C represents cold gas. Incorrectb.A represents cold gas and C represents hot gas.c.A represents gas at room temperature and C represents hot gas.d.A represents gas at room temperature and C represents cold gas.

Explanation:

Given the following graph we have to decide which curve represents the hot gas and which the cold gas.

This is a representation of a sample of gas and the amount of energy that each particle of that sample has.

In curve A the most part of the particles have little energy. So it is representing the cold gas. Very few particles have a great amount of energy.

In the other hand, curve C is represeting the hot gas. We have lots of particles that have a great amount of energy.

The correct choice is B.

Answer: B
