Answer:

y = 3x = 11

Explanation:

y = mx + b We need to find the m (slope) and the b (y-intercpet) They tell us the slope is 3. We have to find the y-intercept. Do do that we need and x and y on the line and the slope.

y = -5 From the point (2,-5)

x = 2 From the point (2, -5)

m = 3 This is the slope that we given to us

y = mx + b

-5 = 3(2) + B

-5 = 6 + b Subtract 6 from both sides

-5 -6 = 6 - 6 + b

-11 = b

y = mx + b

y = 3x = 11
