Remember PEMDAS, so you would have to multiply first.

5 times 5 is 25.
You now have 5 + 25 + 5.
Add straight across. the answer is 35.

5 + 5 X 5 + 5
5 + 25 + 5
30 + 5
35

We need to do the multiplication before we do the addition.

5 X 5 = 25

5 + 5 X 5 + 5

5 + 25 + 5

30 + 5

35

Your final answer is 35.
