Relative rates of growth, graphing calculator required. Not that difficult but some rules are needed. Ask me if you have any questions regarding the material. Thanks!

Given:-

f(x)=\sqrt[]{x},g(x)=\ln (x)

To find the required option, which is correct.

So we need to find the value when x tends to infinity. so to find the value we substitute infinity in place of x. so we get,

\begin{gathered} f(x)=\sqrt[]{x} \\ f(\infty)=\sqrt[]{\infty}=\infty \end{gathered}

Also we get,

g(x)=\ln (x)=\ln (\infty)=\infty

So the resulting value is infinity for both.

So the required option is The rate of growth cannot be determined.
