Variable A - horizontal axis ⇒ xVariable B - vertical axis ⇒ y
points (x, y) A B1) 2 , 22) 2 , 83) 4 , 34) 5 , 15) 6 , 36) 7 , 5 7) 8 , 68) 9 , 2

Median of a set of data is the middlemost number in the set. We need to arrange the numbers in order from least to greatest and find the middlemost number of the set.

B = 2, 8, 3, 1, 3, 5, 6, 2

There are 8 numbers that we need to arrange in order.

1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 5, 6, 8

Since the data set is even. We need to look for the middle two numbers and find its average.

3 + 3 = 6
6 ÷ 2 = 3 IS THE MEDIAN of Variable B.
