The answer is 3 because cats are in one population , dogs are in one population , and i am in one poplution , so that is 3 populations.

The correct answer is 3.

Population is defined as all the individuals of same species living in a given geographical area in any point of time. As per the definition of population, there are 3 species human, cat and dog is present in given area that is household. These three species cannot interbred among themselves thus, form 3 populations.
