The function given is a linear one, which describes a line.

Thus, the domain and range all are real numbers. Because all real numbers x will give us a value of f(x), and the same for y, eventually the function will get to all real values for f(x).

The answer in interval notation is (-∞, ∞) for the domain, and (-∞, ∞) for the range.
