The isolation of the wood beetles in a penincula will result to less survival of the species since the habitat have a limiting factor that will not be able to provide for its population when it increased in size. Since they do not have the ability to cross the ocean because they are terrestial, if food is no longer sufficient for their survival in their habitat, the population on the wood beetles will decrease.
