If you draw circle pictures for each fraction you would get that 2/3 is bigger!
since 8ths are broken into smaller pieces its less than 3rds. hope it helps!!

°°Let's see -

To find out which fraction is bigger, I like to divide the numerator of a fraction by its denominator. Let's begin!

5 ÷ 8 = 0.625

2 ÷ 3 = 1.5

We now can see that 2/3 is larger than 5/8.

Why, you ask? Well, if you pay close attention to the decimals, you can see 1.5 and 0.625 - And 1.5 is 1 and a half, while 0.625 is smaller than 1.
